This 4-day hands-on Applied Microbial Remediation Technician course covers mold and sewage remediation training for individuals engaged in property management, property restoration, IAQ investigations or other related professions.
This class ensures coverage of the applicable standards and the components of a step by step remediation.
Emphasis will be placed on teaching mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals who will perform these procedures in the field.
Course graduates will be adequately equipped to perform remediation services, while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants.
Erecting containment, including mini-containment and demonstrating the principle of decontamination chambers
Dismantling of containment with proper techniques
Material selection of their containment
Establishing and monitoring negative pressure and managing airflow in each of the containment areas
Demolition of drywall with simulated microbial contamination (dust control methods)
HEPA vacuuming and cleaning procedures
Removal of simulated mold from wood studs
Containment (bagging) of contaminated materials
*Water Damage Restoration Technician is a mandatory prerequisite course needed in order to attend the AMRT and/or ASD.
Those taking the AMRT and/or ASD course exams must have already attended and passed the IICRC Certified Water Damage Restoration Technician course.
Those attendees who have neglected to obtain this prerequisite will NOT be eligible to write the exam nor will they be able to gain credit for the course.
There is a $150 USD Exam fee payable at the time of exam to the IICRC payable with valid credit card
